Tasmania’s caravan and camping businesses are set to get a big boost thanks to a new $50 million Regional Tourism Development Loan Scheme. Premier Jeremy Rockliff announced that this initiative is part of the government’s 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future.
The scheme offers loans from $100,000 to $3 million, perfect for developing new or improved caravan parks and related tourism products in regional Tasmania. Premier Rockliff highlighted the importance of this initiative, saying, “Our tourism and hospitality sectors are job powerhouses, employing one in eight Tasmanians. This scheme will help bring innovative ideas to life with lower interest rates than commercial loans.”
For our caravan parks and manufacturers, this is a golden opportunity to enhance and expand their offerings. The focus is on encouraging developments outside major centres, drawing more visitors to our beautiful regions and increasing spending.
If you’re in the caravan industry, this is your chance to shine and contribute to making Tasmania an even more attractive destination. For more details and to apply, visit www.business.tas.gov.au.
