Caravanning Tasmania Inc. was formed in 2000 and is the representative division for associate members in the State of Tasmania. Providing Government liaison at a Local, State and Federal level, members are privy to the benefits of a united effort from the association.
The primary activity of the organisation is the promotion of all industry businesses involved in the Tasmanian State.
Affords access to a large resource base for consumer marketing, information and messaging.
The opportunity to present a single voice to Federal Government and media with a consistent message.
Allows businesses within the industry the opportunity to embrace the Nationally recognized accreditation and compliance program for caravan parks, promoting quality business practices.
The ability for caravan parks to enter State and National Tourism awards from the respective caravan industry.
Provides the benefit of being involved and the opportunities accompanied in sharing ideas, support of/to peers and industry colleagues.
Coverage on the associations Responsive Website. Smartphone and tablet usage has rapidly increased, so does the importance of mobile-friendly websites. Our responsive site has been modified to benefit the end user experience. Making it easy for the road travellers to access the Associate parks throughout Tasmania.
The annual publication of the State guide. The association’s annual guide remains the leading choice for the self-drive market and road travellers coming to Tasmania. With over 70,000 guides printed and distributed to meet the growing markets demand. It is displayed in Tasmanian main airport terminals, both Spirit vessels, Devonport and Melbourne Spirit of Tasmania terminals, campervan and motorhome rental outlets, Tasmanian Visitor information centres and a number of interstate strategic locations.
The distribution of such at the “Super Caravan and Camping shows” at Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane along with attending the October Melbourne Leisurefest. The attendance of these four shows provide an audience in excess of some 200,000 targeted travelers alone.

Make every effort to inform members of policies and action taken in the interest of members and the industry
Being a Caravanning Tasmania member therefore provides representation at/to the National Body, Caravan Industry Association of Australia. Each of the individual State Associations makes up the membership at National level and provides representation for the National Board, and various operational committees. The National organisation is financially supported by industry businesses which make a financial contribution towards industry promotion and development through a cooperative fund.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia is a member of the National Tourism Alliance, a category sponsor in the National Tourism Awards, and is a foundation member for the Tourism & Hospitality Careers Council. It holds board and committee positions with a number of relevant organisations.
