The peak body for Tasmania’s caravan and camping industry

Caravanning Tasmania is the peak body for caravan and camping businesses across the state. We are a not for profit, membership based organisation working to strengthen Tasmania as one of Australia’s most loved self-drive destinations with members in every region.

Our role is to bring members together, share practical industry knowledge, promote Tasmania’s businesses to visitors and provide a united voice to government on the issues that matter most to the Tasmanian caravanning and camping community.

What we do

• Advocacy: We engage with local and state government on planning, infrastructure, land access and policy and through the support of the peak national body, Caravan Industry Association of Australia we take key issues through to Canberra.
• Industry development: Accreditation and training pathways and input into compliance and licensing frameworks.
• Research: Quarterly Tourism Research Australia visitor data, monthly ParkMetrics benchmarking and an annual intelligence briefing.
• Promotion. The annual Road Trip Guide, this website, our social channels and national consumer campaigns.
• Industry connection. Monthly member webinars, industry briefings, aface to face forums and networking dinners.
